Holidaymakers living in Les Jardins de l'Atlantique can rejoice: Les Sables d'Olonne and the surrounding area have plenty of surprises in store for you. In this region with a strong identity, between sky and sea, it's impossible to get bored! We've put together a list of the region's must-sees. Obviously not exhaustive.

Taste the sea

Relaxing on the beach
If you're dreaming of a place where you can relax, play sports, learn and marvel, look no further than Veillon beach. What does it have that others don't? Perhaps its unspoilt nature, completely untouched by construction, and its 1 km stretch of fine sand. But that's not all. To the west of this beach lies Anse de la République, a unique site that preserves thousands of b.
The beach is also a paradise for surfing, kite-surfing, paddling and canoeing. It is accessible for wheelchair users and has tiralos.

Visit Les Sables d'Olonne
Take a walking tour of Les Sables d'Olonne, and discover some of the unusual places that mark the town's identity. Soak up the atmosphere of the fishing port, buy local produce at the Halles Centrales market, then let your steps lead you through the town. Stroll through the typical fishermen's houses of the Passage district.
Ile Penotte, as the name suggests, is a picturesque downtown district. Take the time to stroll its pedestrian streets, and you'll discover little marvels of shell mosaics hidden all over the facades of the houses.

- rue de l'Enfer, the narrowest street in the world (40cm wide)
- the Musée du Coquillage
- Notre Dame de Bon Port church
